...just realized that I hadn't actually, er, posted this yet, but I WON NANOWRIMO AGAIN OMG SQUEE ETC. Total wordcount for The Novel Of Suck = 50,017, and I've got a nice shiny winner's certificate now. :3

Also also: I'm on DeviantArt now. Plz don't stone me kthx. I just wanted to compete with all the emo fangirls, honest. And there are some decent photographers loitering around there. Honestly.

I personally think it's pretty terrible that I ended up sitting through two hours of Children In Need just for a three-minute segment of Doctor Who. I guess it helps my mad raving fanthing credentials, though. :P

Nanowordcount = 36,001 words exactly. Hee. Have currently been thoroughly sidetracked by making Sims of my characters, however; hopefully I won't waste too much time making them kiss and killing them in horrible toaster fires...

I find myself filled with the strangest jealousy, looking at pictures of Francis Bacon's studio in The Times. It is- was- obviously a junkheap, but it just seems so full of a lifetime of art; paint and brushes and canvas on every available surface, absolutely everywhere.

..I need to print out some of my decentish photos. Not just to, er, show them off, really; for portfolio-goodness too. And also so I can, you know, angst at their lameitude. *pretentious-artist-sigh*

HA. I went to the Neil Gaiman signing at Forbidden Planet yesterday and got my Endless Nights graphic novel signed by ~~jesus~~ him. XD

I MET NEIL GAIMAN OMG.

(admittedly, I acted like a very silly fanthing and pretty much just stood there mumbling and blushing, but it's a step forward from how terribly I acted at the Terry Pratchett signing I went to last month; I see it as, er, a good thing that this time I actually said something.)

I am also incredibly happy that I got my precious book signed to the right name. *double-ha*

Just stopping in to say a) I'm still sick, and b) nanowrimo wordcount now = 18,127.

..I'm going to go curl up in a ball and sneeze to death, now. >_<

(things to do list: take more photos, write more, sketch more, try not to sneeze all over computer monitor, cook edible food for dinner, try not to explode with snot all over people, take care of dogs, TAKE MORE PHOTOS OMG, look for job to pay for ~~anime-crack~~ camera equipment, moon at FF7: Advent Children, get haircut, look for local cheap life drawing classes, pilates omg, return library books, read misogynistic French literature, research stuff for novel, edit Evergreen (hahahah), die etc.)

I am indeed still alive; I've just been laid low by a fun combination of a rotten cold and the massive task that is nanowrimo- my current wordcount stands at around 10,500, because I took yesterday off to be lazy.

Um. Yes. Unfortunate side effect to being sick, I keep forgetting what I'm doing/writing/saying mid-sentance. Which is fun.

Less-than-three minutes until NaNo officially starts. Yes, I have indeed stayed up until midnight just to, um, say that I did this year. My entire family now thinks I'm even crazier, I'm sure. Hehe.

...randomly weird observation, though, after angsting and panicking and freaking out over the past twelve hours, I figure out how my story is going to start on the toilet. XP
